"But after a few years, I gave up on dating and spent my time with family and friends.
I was content with my life." Then one day Wayne reached out to her through their daughter by giving Betty a CD of their favorite band and said that he wanted to be friends.
When we did tell them, the youngest was skeptical and the oldest was furious. Denise Lindgren Mc Cabe and Kenny Mc Cabe met on a blind date, and it was love at first sight.
They were together from that moment on and married nine months later.
Wayne married another woman almost immediately, but Betty needed time before she jumped back into the dating pool.
"I threw myself into healing," she says, revealing that she went through counseling.
"I told him I had forgiven him long ago but had no interest in being his friend." But Wayne continued to contact her and eventually, Betty began to remember why she fell in love with him in the first place and recognized that she had never really stopped loving him."We enjoyed each other's company." Just a year after their divorce, they made it legal a second time."I didn't see the divorce as a final break, and so I saw our remarriage as a natural progression," says Trip.Their New York apartments were only a block from each other, which made it easier. "It was just a devastating event," says Elizabeth, describing how it made her examine her life and want to hold all the people she loved closer."Ben was right there and I knew I had to open up to those feelings." Soon after, they began "dating," and in 2005, they moved back in together.
